HALL Arts Hotel:
Brand Identity, Management, and Implementation
Creative project management of brand identity, marketing, and operational materials leading up to the opening of HALL Arts Hotel, a 183-key luxury boutique hotel in the Dallas Arts District. Worked with branding firms Ashlar Projects and The Gettys Group for the identity and initial collateral concepts, then transitioned to internal project management and design under the leadership of our VP of Marketing and in conjunction with our internal teams for implementation.
Brand Identity
Worked with branding firms Ashlar Projects and The Gettys Group to create the brand identity and initial collateral concepts. Transitioned to internal project management and design under the leadership of our VP of Marketing and in conjunction with our internal team and chosen vendors for implementation.

Collateral and Operational Materials
Lead the transition of print collateral and operational materials from outside agencies to the internal team for budgeting, estimation, and production. Worked with external print vendors to bid on the project and create a production plan for all hotel materials. Secured licensing of arts district photography by working closely with the internal curator and outside art organizations and photographers. Selected all papers, foils, and colors, and ensured quality control throughout the launch.

Signage and Wayfinding
Worked with Development Department, a signage design firm, and multiple outside vendors to create on-brand signage and wayfinding. Mapped out, presented, and created signage for the hotel, restaurant, conference rooms, and ballrooms. Selected materials that reflect the luxury and sophistication of the brand and carefully curated the locations of signage to be subtle and unobtrusive. Ensured ADA compliance, including high-contrast, tactile, and Braille lettering where required, and IFC/IBC compliance to guide occupants to exits and fire safety equipment, to identify hazardous areas, and to communicate emergency procedures. When required, designed lighting and lighted sign elements for visibility day to night.

Special Events and Tastings
Worked with the VP of Marketing and the internal team to plan, design, manage, and execute special events to include Hard Hat Tours, Investor Previews, the Taste of HALL event, and the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Managed event invitations, RSVPs, promotional materials, and event design. Attended events, extending high-level hospitality to stakeholders, investors, city leaders, and guests.

Artwork and Curatorial
Assisted curator Patricia Meadows with digital room mockups, room mapping, and curatorial presentations for 183 rooms. Participated in artwork viewings and provided curatorial input regarding collection purchases. Worked with outside curator Virginia Shore of Shore Art Advisory to create wall art labels for the hotel art collection on view. Met with artists during installation as needed to obtain information for art collection marketing materials.

Art Collection Information + Map
Worked with Virginia Shore Art Advisory to obtain artwork content information. Worked with HKS Architects to translate, simplify, and redraw the hotel floorplan. Photographed and retouched all artwork imagery and led printing and distribution of Collection Maps for curatorial tours, special events, and general hotel operations.
Pole Banners
As part of the Dallas Arts District, venues and businesses, like HALL Arts Hotel, can promote their arts and culture programming on pole banners throughout the District. As part of the District’s Marketing Committee, I coordinated with the Executive Director and the Operations and Communications Managing Director to create a uniform design system with the logo branding on all banners. I was the point person for all banner branding, revisions, and approvals.
In addition, I created banners highlighting the HALL Arts Hotel’s international art collection. I selected artwork, hired a photographer, and led a photoshoot of the chosen collection works. I designed banners, oversaw printing, and created a 21-banner rotation schedule of three banners each to keep promotion of the collection updated for several years.

Interior Suite and Room Styling
In collaboration with the Development Project Coordinator and VP of Marketing, we styled the interiors of all suites and larger rooms throughout the hotel. This included the selection of plants and succulents, art books and catalogs, decorative objects, pillows, and a wine welcome. Lent a creative eye and aesthetic touch to all spaces for photography and in preparation of the grand opening.
Suite Naming
Worked with the Founder and Chairman of HALL Group, the Executive Team, the Development Team and the Marketing Team to name the hotel’s 11 suites on the top floor of the hotel as well as the ballrooms and conference rooms. Located in the Dallas Arts District and curated with artwork and performance imagery from the District, suites were themed to reflect the arts with names including Avante Garde Suite, Grand Finale Suite, Encore Suite, A Cappella Suite, Conductor Suite, Contemporary Suite, Gallery Suite, Overture Suite, Sculpture Suite, Showstopper Suite, and Masterpiece Suite. Ballrooms and conference rooms were similarly themed to the arts and geographic locations within the District, including the Grand Hall, Flora Hall, Sculpture Hall, Gallery I and II, HALL Arts Boardroom, and the Studio Boardroom.
Room Service + Dishware
In collaboration with the Development Project Coordinator, VP of Marketing, Executive Chef, and Hotel General Manager, I lent a creative and aesthetic eye to the selection of room service dishware and glassware to ensure an on-brand room service experience.
